General
- 01Forged Health & Performance is a physician-led practice designed for adults who want to improve their health, performance, longevity, and overall quality of life. We take a comprehensive approach that considers metabolic health, hormones, nutrition, fitness, sleep, mental and behavioral health, sexual health, and other factors that influence how you feel and perform. Our goal is not simply to treat individual symptoms. It is to understand the whole picture, identify opportunities for improvement, and build a personalized strategy for long-term health and performance.
- 02Every patient journey at Forged begins with a Comprehensive Evaluation. This is a dedicated 60-minute assessment and discussion with your physician. Rather than focusing on a single symptom, medication, or laboratory value, we take the time to understand your medical history, current health, lifestyle, goals, concerns, and what you want to accomplish.Together, we develop the framework for a long-term, comprehensive plan. Depending on your individual needs, this may include:Comprehensive bloodwork and biomarker assessmentGenetic testing when appropriateNutrition and body-composition assessmentFitness, strength, and cardiovascular assessmentsHormonal and metabolic evaluationSleep and recovery assessmentMental and behavioral health considerationsSexual health and performanceMedication and supplement reviewPreventive health and longevity planningA personalized follow-up cadenceThe Comprehensive Evaluation establishes your baseline and allows us to determine which testing and interventions are actually appropriate for you rather than ordering the same package for every patient.
- 03Yes. All new patients begin with the Comprehensive Evaluation before initiating an ongoing treatment plan.Forged is intentionally structured this way. We do not believe that responsible medical care begins with choosing a medication or treatment from a menu. Your physician first needs to understand your health, goals, risks, and baseline data before recommending a personalized plan.
- 04Your physician will recommend the next steps based on your evaluation. This may include laboratory testing, additional assessments, nutrition or fitness recommendations, medication management when medically appropriate, supplements, referrals, or other interventions.Once the necessary information is collected, we will review your results with you, refine your goals, and develop an individualized plan. We will also establish a follow-up schedule based on your needs rather than applying the same cadence to every patient.
- 05No. Hormonal health can be an important part of overall health and performance, but it is only one piece of the picture. When clinically appropriate, we can evaluate hormonal concerns and discuss evidence-based treatment options. However, treatment recommendations are based on your symptoms, history, examination, laboratory findings, risks, and goals—not simply on achieving a particular laboratory number.
- 06No. Improving body composition and metabolic health may be part of your plan, but Forged is not built around prescribing a single class of weight-loss medications. When appropriate, medical weight-management treatments may be considered alongside nutrition, exercise, sleep, behavioral strategies, metabolic health, and long-term maintenance.
- 07Forged is designed around an ongoing physician-patient relationship rather than one-time prescription visits.Medications may be an important part of an individualized treatment plan, but prescriptions are provided only when your physician determines that they are medically appropriate following a comprehensive evaluation.
- 08Testing is individualized and may include assessment of cardiovascular and metabolic health, blood counts, kidney and liver function, thyroid function, nutritional markers, hormones, inflammation, glucose regulation, lipids, and other biomarkers.More specialized testing—including genetic or other advanced assessments—may be recommended when it is likely to provide useful information for your care.We believe in purposeful testing, not testing simply for the sake of generating more data.
- 09Genetic testing may be incorporated when clinically appropriate and when the information has the potential to meaningfully inform your health or performance strategy.Genetic information is interpreted alongside your medical history, lifestyle, laboratory results, and other clinical information rather than being used in isolation.
- 10Yes. Nutrition is one of the foundations of the Forged approach.Depending on your goals, we may evaluate caloric intake, protein and macronutrient needs, food quality, eating patterns, supplementation, metabolic health, body composition, and strategies that support sustainable performance and health.
- 11Yes. Physical capacity is an important marker of health and longevity.Your plan may incorporate assessments and recommendations related to cardiovascular fitness, strength, body composition, mobility, recovery, and exercise programming. The goal is to develop recommendations appropriate for your current abilities and long-term objectives.
- 12Yes. Health and performance are influenced by far more than laboratory values.Stress, mood, habits, motivation, relationships, sleep, substance use, and other behavioral factors can significantly affect physical health and performance. These areas may be incorporated into your overall plan when relevant, with referral to specialized care when appropriate.

- 16There is no universal schedule.Your follow-up cadence will be established during your Comprehensive Evaluation based on your goals, medical needs, treatments, testing, and progress. Some patients may initially require closer follow-up, while others may transition to less frequent visits once their plan is established.

- 18Forged is designed for adults who want to take a proactive approach to their health and performance. Our patients may want to improve energy, body composition, strength, cardiovascular fitness, metabolic health, hormonal health, sexual health, sleep, cognitive performance, stress management, or simply remain healthy and capable as they age.You do not need to be an elite athlete—or even currently fit—to benefit from the program. You simply need to be willing to actively participate in improving your health.
- 19Traditional primary care plays an essential role in healthcare, but conventional visits are often designed around addressing an immediate medical problem within a limited amount of time.Forged is intentionally different. We dedicate more time to understanding where you are today, where you want to go, and the factors standing between those two points. The result is a longitudinal, data-informed relationship focused not only on treating disease, but also on improving health, function, resilience, and performance over time.
- 20Not necessarily. Forged focuses on comprehensive health optimization, prevention, performance, and longitudinal health planning. Depending on your individual circumstances and the services available through the practice, you may still need a traditional primary care physician or other specialists for certain aspects of your medical care.
- 21That depends on your starting point and your goals. Some changes—such as improvements in energy, sleep, nutrition, or training habits—may occur relatively quickly. Changes in body composition, metabolic health, cardiovascular fitness, strength, and other long-term health measures generally require consistency over months or years.Forged is designed around sustainable progress rather than short-term fixes.
- 22Your first step is to schedule your 60-minute Comprehensive Evaluation. Before your appointment, you will complete detailed intake information so that your physician can understand your history, concerns, lifestyle, and goals. During your evaluation, we will identify your priorities, discuss appropriate testing and assessments, and begin building your personalized roadmap for what comes next.Your health is not a collection of isolated numbers. Your plan shouldn't be either.
